Church of Notre Dame & Danfords Two-Day Spring 2021 Wedding
Luz and Britt had a two-day wedding on a beautiful spring weekend in late May. They first said their vows at the Church of Notre Dame in Harlem, followed by a brunch reception the next day at Danford’s Hotel and Marina in Long Island. The celebration reflected the things they find most significant in their partnership: a deep commitment to each other and each other’s passions, and a shared love of family.
Their ceremony was as local as it gets—Luz and Britt married in a church in the same neighborhood they live: Harlem. After the ceremony, they took a walk, running into and embracing neighbors at their local laundromat.
The day-time reception the next day was a bright and vibrant brunch with beautiful coral and ivory florals brightening up the room, designed by Rachel Cho Floral Design. The couple enjoyed two cakes to satisfy both their tastes and both were exquisitely designed by Wild Flour NYC.
Luz and Britt gave speeches of their own at their reception before hitting the dance floor with their friends and family. Consistent with their desire to always be challenging the norms, Luz gave her speech first.
