Meet your dream team
Brittney Bartling
Owner & Founder
I’ve worked in events for over a decade—and hands down, weddings are my favorite. Because what’s better than celebrating someone’s relationship surrounded by so much love? As the owner and founder of BLB Events, I’m here to bring your celebration to life as seamlessly as possible, so you can celebrate and feel all the feels with your nearest and dearest.
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m obsessed with logistics; I love watching a well-executed event go off without a hitch. But the most important part of my job is building a close and trusting relationship with every couple I work with. There’s no better feeling than watching them enjoy the day we planned together—especially that moment when the couple comes back down the aisle post-ceremony with that “just-married” look on their faces. That’s what the whole day is about.
When I’m not working as a New York and Hudson Valley wedding planner, I love getting out of the city with my partner and Ruth, eating at our favorite Japanese restaurant, and trying new hobbies (like pottery!).

Ruth Eloise Yew
CHIEF PUP OFFICER
Ruth is Brittney’s 10-ish-year old rescue dog and personal assistant, named after none other than the notorious RBG. She’s a Cattle, Australian Shepard, Husky, and Malamute mix—aka, the perfect combination. A sweet pup with a big personality, she shows exactly what she's thinking with her expressive eyebrows and subtle but strong "let's go on a walk" growls. Ruth loves long walks in Riverside Park and lounging on the couch, bed, or floor (wherever the cats aren’t laying).
Nicknames: Ruthie, Sweet Pea, Sweet girl, Ruthie Ru

Gillian Todd
SENIOR COORDINATOR
I have 15+ years of experience in hospitality and event production (including my own business), and love celebrating love with the BLB Events team. And if you ask them, they’ll tell you I have a knack for knowing exactly what you need when I’m working with you day of—sometimes even way before you do! In my free time, you’ll find me cooking up a storm, busting a move in hip-hop dance class, or climbing the nearest mountain.

Josh Gregory
ON-SITE COORDINATOR
From catering captain to venue manager, I’ve worn many hats in the NYC event industry—and I love bringing this all together as a coordinator on the team! On the day of, you can find me supporting the rest of the team the best ways possible—and, as my coworkers like to say, just being a joy to be around. (I also fold a mean napkin.) In my free time, you’ll find me in my garden and/or with the people I love.
Our approach
When you work with us, it’s a collaboration: We’re working side by side to plan this event together. Once we discuss your vision for your wedding celebration, we’ll handle the back end work—navigating, organizing, and presenting plans for you to explore—so you can focus on what you want in the day. After that, it’s up to you both to review and decide.
We want this planning process to be approachable, fun, and easier to juggle with your day-to-day life, so you can focus your energy on things like cuddles on the couch and date nights.
“Thank you so much for all of your help and guidance. Our day was amazing and that could not have happened without you, Mattie, and Stephanie who were absolutely phenomenal. We are so grateful for you guys!”
