Why We Love Weekday Weddings

In the new era of non-traditional being the new traditional, we love any wedding trends that lean into being a little different. Weekday weddings are becoming more and more common so read on to find out why we’re excited about it.

Cost

Most venues and some vendors will charge less for a weekday wedding since there is less competition than weekends. In some cases, you can save thousands of dollars by getting married on a weekday. If you still want the wedding to be on a weekend but not pay premium prices for a Saturday wedding, venues often charge less for Friday and Sunday events, as well.

Date Flexibility & Vendor Availability

If there’s been a date that is sentimental to you and your partner, being open to a weekday wedding means not sacrificing that anniversary if it doesn’t fall on a weekday.

Vendors are also more likely to be available for a weekday wedding, so you have a better chance at booking that dream photographer!

Less Cost for Your Guests

Travel and accommodations are always going to be cheaper during the week than for a weekend trip, so your out-of-town guests will have to spend less to come to your wedding. They’ll thank you for this!

A More Intimate Event

Less guests will be able to attend a weekday wedding for many reasons (school, work, travel…), so your wedding will naturally be a more intimate event. Smaller weddings mean more quality time with family and friends, and we love that!
