If you’re looking for a wedding that was intimate, fun, intentional, environmentally conscious, and entirely focused on the couple having a blast with their friends and family, look no further! Jenny & Nick hosted a rooftop celebration in the Penthouse of The Beekman Hotel with 50 of their closest friends and family, and it was a model wedding in our eyes.
The wedding celebrations kicked off with a first look, some portraits, and a round (or two…) of drinks with their wedding party in the stunning hotel bar. We did a short rehearsal, then they had a champagne toast with their family, wedding party, and select friends as they signed their marriage license and hung out in the Penthouse before their ceremony. After Jenny & Nick said “I do” under a permanent hanging florals installation, it was party time! From the intimate dinner under string lights, to dancing the night away to DJ Babes’ iconic mixing, to the after-party back in the Penthouse with Joe’s Pizza, the entire night was relaxed, beautiful, and so. much. fun.
One reason we loved this wedding was the intentionality: they didn’t spend any money in places they didn’t care about, but splurged on areas they wanted to emphasize. They knew they didn’t want to spend a lot on florals, so they booked a venue that is naturally beautiful and doesn’t need a lot of decor. They didn’t want to be wasteful; instead, they ordered reusable silk flowers for bouquets and centerpieces. They wanted their guests to be able to eat, drink, and dance the night away, so alcohol was flowing and the DJ was incredible. If you’ve ever been looking for a “how-to” on how to have a wedding you’re happy to spend money on, this is it!
