Jane & Will’s vision for their wedding was very clear when they booked us for full planning: a laid-back, sentimental, and beautiful wedding in the backyard of their Bridgehampton home. The house was a stunning home-base and backdrop for their celebration, but almost everything for this wedding had to be brought in independently: a tent to cover the tennis court, ceremony chairs to surround the willow tree, umbrellas for cocktail hour, bars, lighting to cover the pool, bathrooms — everything.
We worked for months to make this day as fun and laid-back for both the couple and their guests as possible. Needless to say, our work and the vendors’ incredible efforts paid off!
Wedding festivities started off with a welcome cocktail hour. Guests grabbed drinks from the rosé tricycle and mingled at the high and low cocktail tables under big summery umbrellas (necessary on this warm September day!). The ceremony happened under the willow tree planted for Jane’s mom, surrounded by flowers that Jane & Will had planted in the months leading up to the wedding. Afterwards, Jane changed into her second dress, a stunning light gold, Grecian-style off the shoulder gown. Guests eventually moved into the tent for dinner for an entirely gluten-free meal and toasts before dancing the night away to DJ Nak’s incredible vinyl record spinning. Jane & Will ended the night with an “exit” on their tandem bike before, of course, ending the night in the pool with their friends and family.
This wedding was a total backyard wedding dream and we’re SO pleased with how it turned out. The photos below are both digital and film shot by the talented Dottie Morris and totally capture the chilled-out and loved-up day that it was.
