Multicultural Indian & Catholic Two-Day Wedding Celebration - Day 1

Modern Indian vibes for the win! Irene & Ameet had the most grand celebrations for their marriage. They joined two cultures and over 400 guests together for their special days. This two-day multi cultural celebration kicked off at the Grand Hyatt in the middle of Manhattan. Day one was their Indian celebration to represent the groom. Indian weddings are composed of various parties and celebrations with the most common being the Baraat, Mandap and Sangeet.

Ameet’s Baraat took place on Park Ave surrounded by buildings and overlooking the city. Baraats are incredibly fun and the perfect high energy event to kick off the wedding day celebrations. Ameet’s Baraat went from Park Ave into the Grand Hyatt’s lobby and finally the ballroom where the Mandap ceremony would take place. We love all of the colors from the day especially at the Mandap. There was a stunning mix of reds, pinks, and golds against the modern white backdrop. After the Mandap ceremony, guests made their way downstairs to an energetic Sangeet that included a few choreographed and traditional dances.

Stay tuned for day two! Day two was an iconic Catholic ceremony and reception held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Grand Hyatt. These two days were gorgeous and filled with so much joy and excitement.
