Sound River Studios Long Island City NY Wedding
This wedding took a village. Katy & Josh’s wedding celebration was held at Sound River Studios in LIC which is a completely blank space with HUGE ceilings. To make this space warm and cozy for their 200 closest friends and family, everything from sound and lighting to a full kitchen and heated outdoor tent was brought in to make their magical day happen. Their day started at a hotel nearby, first look and portraits on the street, then the couple, family and wedding party headed to the venue for final photos and Ketubah signing. After guests arrived and took their seat, ceremony began against the large windows. Following the ceremony, guests moved to cocktail hour outside (in the heated tent!). Then the magic (aka hard work) happened. Transitioning this space from ceremony to reception space was a feat for all vendors. There was so much movement, but it was seamlessly executed with this professional team of people. Once guests moved inside for their delicious family style meal from STE Events, the celebrating really started. The hora was high energy. Speeches were hysterical and loving. Katy and Josh’s first dance and parent’s dances were the sweetest. Cheers to Katy & Josh!!
